Welcome to Slate Roof Studio

Slate Roof Studio is located on a beautiful acre adjacent to Marin
Open Space in Forest Knolls, CA. Unlike most band workshop settings, such
as warehouses or storage buildings, Slate Roof is a beautiful light-
filled European-style cottage near Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and only
ten minutes from Fairfax.

The studio is a large "live room" where
adults and children hone their skills as band members in a supervised
environment. Musicians who are familiar with their instruments take
the next step in music, learning to play as an integral member of a
band. Participants in these workshops are re-inspired by their
instruments and often return to their regular music teachers with
new enthusiasm.

Slate Roof Studio is equipped with a six-piece Pearl drum kit
(complete with microphones), mixing decks, guitar and bass amplifiers,
vocal microphones, overhead mics, music stands, and some fine house instruments
for after-school convenience.

There is a small, comfortable green room area equipped for maximum comfort.

The studio is situated next to our private soccer practice field,
where kids can take scheduled breaks from playing music to run
around with a soccer ball. There is also a basketball hoop.
